Le Grive

Grapes: Barbera 80%, Pinot Noir 20%.


Vineyard: The vineyards form which "Le Grive" comes are in Loazzolo (Langa, Astigiana, Pimonte), altitude 1.540 feet, South-West exposure. The vineyards are surrounded by a thick juniper bushes from which the Grive (thrush) eat during the winter months.

Technology Production: The healthy ripe grapes are crushed and fermented in small containers at uniform, regulated temperature. After racking, the refining malolactic fermentation is encouraged and with the following cold of winter there is natural stabilization, followed by short ageing in oak casks (barriques). The selection of grapes, cultivation and care in wine making, provides to this wine a great quantity of noble polyphenols.

Serving Suggestion: Recommended temperature 18/20° C in large glass.

Oenological Characterisitics:
Color: Ruby red, fruity and persistent bouquet, scents of vanilla and spices, velvety, full of character which confirms the bouquet. Excellent drinkability.
